I'm not usually one of those ~vibes~ people. Well, that's a lie. The vorfreude of ~summer vibes~ seizes my stomach around July every year (note to Americans, who seem to make up a large proportion of this blog's readership: remember, here in Australia, summer is at the end of the year).
I'm not planning on celebrating Halloween or dressing up or anything, but this year, it has a new appeal to me; atmospherically: that of quivery excitement, similar to when you turn up at school at night for Parent-Teacher Meetings and you've never seen the yellow lights of the classroom glow out into the dark of the outside before and the tables are all arranged different and your teachers are talking softer, kinder. What I'm alluding to is the sense that everything's different, the world has a new, mysterious angle all of a sudden. People get weird, change up, have fun.
In that spirit, I've created this playlist. It's not all dark and/or spooky songs - some of them just have an eerie melody / vibe, some are playful and make-believe, and some are just haunting.
I've not put all of the songs in this post, because there were 58 of them. But the full youtube playlist is here. I painstakingly deliberated on the order of each song, but you can listen to it on shuffle as well si vous plait.
