A Poem Written Intermittently Against Various Brick Fences On The Lone Walk Home From ROMA, The Movie Billie Eilish Wrote A Song About.

I want to write gentle,
like how Gus wrote high school.
I want a poem to match my face.

I want to be kind, but that's a lie.
I want to rhyme without the trite.

And now I'm sitting in front of a graveyard
writing this down so I don't forget,
and there's people staring from their night windows,
and I might be murdered,
but isn't that poetic?

Here comes a drunk man now.
Please kill me. Please don't.
We're right by the police station. My phone's dead.

Is this genius or drivel?
I won't even know when I'm sober.
