"Walk Away As The Door Slams" by Lil Peep: a Literary Analysis

Now, before I attach my analysis of Lil Peep's song "Walk Away As The Door Slams" from his Hellboy album, I think i should give credit where credit's due.  I suppose the concept of thoroughly analysing song lyrics is not entirely novel, but it's not common, and I don't want there to be any false pretenses. I first discovered this activity in Sec 2 (Year 8), while stalking the blog of a particularly precocious Sec 1 girl in my debate CCA, Katie Kwang. She was loud and obsequious and obviously highly intelligent, just like her friend Jaime Goh, another inspiring girl who was in the class just next to mine. I would stalk her blog too, and noticed my own influence in her writing and behaviour, but I'll talk about her one day when I post The Sarcasm Times, for whom she was a big inspiration. They were (I suppose are) different from any other Singaporean students I'd ever met; smart in a perpendicular way, grating to the neat expectations of our education system. But yes, I was reading her blog one day, and she'd posted a line-by-line literary analysis of a Green Day song (I forget which) that she'd done for Jaime. And it opened up my world - until then, I hadn't thought close analysis could be used for anything except the childish poems we'd be given in Literature class and asked to identify the onomatopoeia in. (Which is, I suppose, evidence for the sort of education system Singapore has). And this here is an homage to that, to Katie Kwang, somewhat annoying (at least back then) but smarter than our system. I highly doubt that blog's still around, and I don't think I'd be able to find it if it is,  but that's her name.
