iPhone Sync II: Return of the Sync

A different kind of sync from last time - I switched all my photos to iCloud, in the hopes that my phone would top tantrum-ing about being out of storage every five seconds, and so that I could actually film things with my phone every once in a while (hence the recent crop of videos I've made). These ones date from roughly September 2018 to now.

kitty in the random dry cleaning / water black market / bike fixing place behind my dorm. "喵星人” means "alien from the planet Meow"; it's a cutesy nickname for cats.

I can't get over this

Lachie jumping over me outside Jack's apartment.

Christmas. I love this photo so much, and I'd make it my lock screen if it didn't mean my brothers would be my lock screen which would be way too soft-hearted for me.

we fell asleep watching vlog squad compilations

a sculpture in my parents' friends' house, made my their son. His name is Seb Chadwick. It frightened me when I first walked in because I thought it was a real person.

Where we were staying in Hokkaido in peak winter - it had a mini inaccessible "living room" that felix managed to climb up to. I wanted to try to get up there too, but I ended up breaking my arm the next day so never got round to it.

Also in Japan. My mum ordered an oyster and this is how big it was. I took a photo before this, with her right hand as comparison, but she made me retake it with her other hand so her rings would be on show.

Taken by Jill when we were in Germany. I remember these few hours so clearly - we ran around Alexanderplatz talking to buskers and eating currywurst and making a list of things we wanted to do before I left for Australia, like get drunk and smoke. We did none of these things before then, but have done copious amounts of these things separately since then - and hopefully together someday soon.

I am seized with both horror and jealousy when I see this photo. My skeleton fingers, my gaunt face. I do wish I could look like that again, where even skinny jeans were baggy on me, but then I think of my lethargy on the trip from lack of nutrition, and the exercise I'd secretly do in the hotel room while my roommate Vanessa was in the shower. I have to realise I was borrowing a body that's not mine.

Taken on Northbourne avenue, on the way to Eleanor's farewell drinks. I was just overcome by how beautiful all my friends are, which is so statistically unlikely.

Just experimenting with colour masking and transparency stuff that Felix taught me, actually. But I like this a lot - the vibe feels right.

A poem by Cin, during one of her downward spirals. It's so beautiful and sad and happy and magic realist all at once.

Me being a wallet, during...

emo nite!!!! With Sam!! It was one of my last nights in Australia.

I found this on my actual last day in Australia...

Nikki sent a french friend of hers who likes peep my blog post about the benz truck music video.

Awkward......

"Skull of a Skeleton with Burning Cigarette", by Van Gogh.

Lauren's 21st. A day I felt happy, felt a sense of belonging and friendship.

So relatable it hurts. I didn't know anyone else thought like this. Everything @lianafinck draws is brilliant; you should follow her.

That character's not actually spring onion, but chives. Look up a picture of a chive plant. Chinese is beautiful.
